Ryan Shang

An Associate in PDLegal’s Sydney office, Ryan is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia, and a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Ryan advises both local and international clients on complex contentious and transactional matters, with a focus on commercial, property, corporate and intellectual property laws. He has acted in a number of significant proceedings in the Supreme Court and District Court of New South Wales, and the Federal Court of Australia.

Ryan has substantial experience in the media and communications sector, where he worked on international content distribution and regulatory compliance across the Asia-Pacific region for a major American television network.

Ryan holds a Juris Doctor degree with Distinction and a Master of Laws degree with specialisation in media, intellectual property and technology law from the University of New South Wales. His articles on intellectual property law were published in UNSW Law Journal Student Series and Australian Intellectual Property Journal.

Ryan is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
