Vincent Lee

Vincent’s practice spans a broad range of areas including mediation, civil and commercial disputes, criminal law, employment advisory and litigation, as well as wills and probate matters.

He began his legal career with PDLegal before expanding his experience at both a mid-sized and a Big Four law firm, and later returned to PDLegal, bringing with him a deepened perspective and versatility across practice areas.

Vincent holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from Monash University, Australia. He graduated in the top 7% of his cohort and served as both Treasurer and Vice-President of the Singapore Association of Monash.

Vincent obtained a Distinction in Family Law practice at the 2021 sitting of Part B of the Singapore Bar exams and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2022.

Criminal Defence and Investigation
  • Acted for accused persons charged with offences under the Road Traffic Act, Immigration Act, Misuse of Drugs Act, Penal Code.
  • Represented and acted for a CLAS client charged with outrage of modesty in a criminal trial.
    See PP v Chia Gim Boo [2023] SGMC 79.
  • Acted for the accused in PP v Yong Khung Lin, in respect of the LEJUR application made by the accused to travel out of Singapore.
  • Assisting a corporate client with reviewing and drafting their anticorruption and bribery policies, as well as AML/Sanctions compliance policies.
Civil and Commercial Disputes
  • Successfully arguing on appeal to a Judge in the General Division of the High Court of Singapore, for an order for security for costs to be furnished by the opposing party, the Claimant.

  • Successfully represented clients, a Singapore biotechnology company and its representatives, in multiple parallel legal proceedings (see here) including:
    • Overturning on appeal a decision of the High Court at first instance, granting the opposing party, the Defendants, unconditional leave to defend in an application for summary judgment filed by our client. On appeal, the Court ordered conditional leave to defend in the sum of S$1.5m security to be furnished by the Defendants.
    • In parallel proceedings, we also successfully set aside a default judgment and obtained a stay of court proceedings in favour of arbitration. This was upheld on appeal.
    • Amidst all of the above ongoing proceedings, we also obtained urgent injunctions as against one of the Defendants, a Defendant company, who had removed our client’s representatives and directors in breach of a shareholders’ agreement between parties.
  • Acted for a Chinese payment services company in respect of an ongoing contractual dispute against a US firm at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
  • Acting for professional statutory boards in the prosecution of regulatory offences in respect of complaints, inquiries and professional regulatory matters at the disciplinary tribunal level.
  • Obtaining bankruptcy orders in the Singapore courts against individual debtors, on behalf of clients.
  • As a practice trainee, assisting Counsel and preparing affidavits and written submissions in respect of the case of Wong Leng Si Rachel v Wu Su Han Olivia [2022] SGHC 151, where we acted for the Defendant in a defamation claim brought by a social media influencer in Singapore.
  • As a practice trainee, assisting Counsel in acting for a creditor of a Singaporean water treatment company which was under judicial management.
  • Obtaining summary judgment, striking out, amendment of pleadings and taking out enforcement applications across all levels of the Singapore Courts.
  • Representing the Claimant in a claim for damages for non-delivery of goods under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 Singapore in the General Division of the High Court of Singapore, in Shri Bajrang Power and Ispat Limited v Steel Corp Limited [2025] SGHC 107.
    • Vincent was specifically involved in preparing pre-litigation letters of correspondence, pre-litigation without prejudice negotiations, preparing and filing the pleadings for the matter, engaging an expert to prepare expert reports in preparation for litigation, and attending case conferences in the matter.
Employment Law
  • Advised a trader facing internal disciplinary proceedings in respect of an internal complaint of alleged insider trading.
  • Advising clients on non-compete clauses and drafting of key employment terms.
  • Advising both multinational entities and SMEs on navigating employment law issues, including enforceability of restraint of trade clauses, review of employment contracts and employment policies, employment investigations into misconduct by employees, and retrenchment of employees under Singapore law.
Estates/Family
  • Drafting of wills for private clients.
  • Assisting a client, a foreign-based executor of a deceased estate (deceased died domiciled in Denmark with a valid will made in Denmark), in obtaining a fresh grant of probate in the Singapore courts, following a grant of probate obtained in the courts of Denmark.
  • Applying for and obtaining, grants of probate and letters of administration. • Applying for and obtaining LPAs and deputyship orders for private clients.
  • Acting for a client in a contested ancillary matters dispute in a divorce.
