  • Acted for a Singapore company and its directors in an appeal against a claim brought by a former director for diminution in share value due to alleged breaches of sale and purchase agreements.

  • Acting for a reputable German vacuum cleaner manufacturer and its Taiwanese distributor, in a claim for defamation and conspiracy against its competitor and its directors.
  • Acted for a Singapore company and successfully defended a claim for commissions from a S$9.5 million property sale.

  • Acting for a cryptocurrency exchange in fraud, asset recovery and investigations efforts, which involve, inter alia, recovery of stolen crypto assets amounting to approximately US$4.2 million. An employee of the cryptocurrency exchange’s payroll service provider wrongfully caused cryptocurrency to be transferred into wallets controlled and held by her.

  • Acting for a Singapore company in a claim against an engineering contractor company for damages incurred as a result of the sinking of a vessel berthed at the defendant’s shipyard.
  • Acted for a renown food and beverage company in a shareholder dispute between the company’s directors.
  • Advising a high net worth individual and a company in relation to various complex claims against an estate and a family dispute regarding, amongst others, assets converted by a family member.
Criminal Law
  • Acted for an accused person who was charged for failing to discharge his duties as a director honestly and with reasonable diligence and for engaging in a conspiracy to dishonestly receiving stolen properties.

  • Acted for an accused person in a novel case before the High Court and Court of Appeal, addressing reformative training for young offenders charged with serious sexual crimes, with significant implications for sentencing in sexual offence cases.

  • Acting for and assisted counsel in numerous cases involving the prosecution under the Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA). These include offences relating to the corrupt solicitation or receipt of gratification, abetment of offences under the PCA as well as cases involving the making of false statements under the PCA.
  • Acted for and assisted counsel in cases involving companies charged under the Income Tax Act for offences including the failure to file annual returns.
  • Acted for individuals charged with violence-related offences:
    • Acted for an individual charged with causing grievous hurt. Through negotiations with the prosecution and obtained a reduction in the charge to voluntarily causing hurt that causes grievous hurt.
    • Acted for an individual charged with voluntarily causing hurt. After extensive document review and negotiations with the prosecution, the accused was met with a fine as opposed to an imprisonment term.
  • Acting for accused persons charged with various sexual offences including outrage of modesty, voyeurism and other sexual offences.
  • Acted for accused persons charged with various traffic-related offences including dangerous driving.
    • Acted for an individual charged with drink driving (alcohol level at the second highest band of the relevant frameworks) and obtained a reduction of the sentence imposed.
  • Advised various individuals who were facing investigations relating to theft offences, sexual offences, and, through negotiations with the police and prosecution, obtained conditional/stern warnings and/or a concluded investigation with no charges proceeded on.

  • Acting for and/or providing advisory services to various individuals in disputes related to employment law, including wrongful and/or unfair dismissal claims.
  • Providing advisory services covering a range of areas including company law, data protection obligations and policies, employment policies and/or contracts, and regulatory compliance
